Activities

Our activities are planned in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. Children do all of their early learning through play, therefore the emphasis is on fun and the children will naturally learn and meet their full potential.

Our activities are divided between child led and adult led, focussing on a monthly theme and adapted according to the individual needs of the child.

The activities provided are planned to meet all the six areas of learning and development i.e.

• Personal, Social & Emotional Development
• Problem solving
• Communication, Language & Literacy
• Physical Development
• Creative Development
• Knowledge & Understanding of the World

We believe it is important that children learn through their natural surroundings and day to day routine. Therefore we encourage children to become involved with preparing meals and laying the table for lunch. Independence is promoted from an early age, children are encouraged to do as much for themselves according to their age and stage of development.

We take regular trips out and about, visiting groups, Libraries, Garden Centres, Parks, Farms and Museums and more.
